About this ebook

The connectivity is confirmed. What Pressure Line asks is what an industry built on a century of treating each field as its own does with a system it still barely understands.

When a routine reinjection program at Field 7 collides with an unexplained pressure drop half a world away in Türkiye, the Global Reservoir Stability Task Force is born — built specifically to answer a question that keeps getting bigger: when thirty-one fields out of thirty-four start moving together, is that a pattern to study, or a system already responding to what's being done to it?

Rani Kusuma leads the technical case. A field engineer dismissed for six years is finally believed one week too late for it to feel like a victory. And a pilot operation nobody fully trusts has to be approved anyway, because the alternative is a winter nobody can afford. Pressure Line is Book Four of the Heat Below Series — deliberately left unresolved, the mechanism at the center of everything still one book away.

About the author

Andi Anriansyah is a senior technical professional with over seventeen years of experience across oil & gas, mining, and infrastructure projects in Indonesia, with a career spanning subsurface evaluation, resource and reserves development, geological risk assessment, and project execution support in both operator and government-related settings. He holds a degree in Geological Engineering from Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB). His work has taken him from producing oil fields across Sumatra, Java, and Papua, to a nickel exploration project in Halmahera, to ground-risk support on a major hydropower construction project in North Sumatra — the kind of long, unglamorous relationship with the ground that most readers of a geothermal thriller will never have the chance to have themselves.

A longtime reader of speculative and science fiction, Andi began writing the Heat Below Series out of a simple, occupational curiosity: what would it actually look like, procedurally and institutionally, if the ground itself turned out to be stranger and more connected than the industry’s models assumed? Pressure Line is Book Four of seven, and the first in the series to place that question at a genuinely planetary scale.
