Lastlight: Hiking Watch Face

Lastlight is a hiking watch face for Wear OS with a countdown to a last-light time that you choose, made for people who walk until the light goes. The big number in the middle is the time left until then, in hours and minutes, and a thin arc round the bezel drains toward it.

HOW THE TIMER WORKS
A watch face cannot look up sunset. It has no location and no internet connection, so Lastlight does not know when it gets dark where you are, and it does not guess. Instead you tell it. Touch and hold the face, tap the pencil, choose Last light, and pick a time from 12:00 to 23:45 in 15-minute steps. The watch's own clock does the rest. The default is 18:00.

A simple routine: glance at the sunrise/sunset slot at the bottom left, set Last light to a little before that, and let the face count down. If the time has passed, the hero reads DUSK.

WHAT IT SHOWS
- Current time (12/24-hour follows your watch)
- Time left until your Last light, as hours and minutes
- A bezel arc that is full at 12 hours or more to go and empty at your deadline
- Three complication slots along the bottom: sunrise/sunset, steps and battery by default. Any slot can be changed to whatever your watch offers.

WHAT IT DOES NOT SHOW
Lastlight does not calculate sunrise or sunset, daylight length, altitude or barometric pressure. A watch face is not given that data. The sunrise/sunset slot shows whatever your watch's own provider returns, nothing more.

THEMES
Topo (forest green and ochre), Parchment (cream, for bright sun), Granite (slate and sky blue) and Ember (warm dusk reds). All text is at a contrast ratio of at least 7:1 (always-on mode is deliberately dimmer).

In always-on mode the screen keeps the time, the time left and your Last light, dimmed, to protect your AMOLED display and your battery. The arc and slots are not shown in always-on mode.

HOW TO USE
Install on your watch (or from the Play Store on your phone and choose your watch). Touch and hold the current watch face, swipe to Lastlight, then tap the pencil icon. Use Theme for colours, Last light for your deadline, and tap a slot to change its complication.

GOOD TO KNOW
- This is a watch face, not a navigation or safety device. Do not rely on it to get you off a hill before dark: allow your own margin and carry a torch.
- The deadline is a list of fixed times. Watch faces cannot take a typed-in time.
- Screenshots show sample complication data.

Requires a round Wear OS 4 or newer watch. This is a Watch Face Format watch face: it contains no code and collects no data.
