LinkRudder decides which app opens a web link, and shows you exactly what will be opened before it happens.
Set a rule for a site and its links go straight to the app you picked. Or ask every time, and choose for this one link only. Shared text with several links? LinkRudder finds every one and lets you pick.
WHAT IT DOES
• Rules per site: this exact site, or the site and its subdomains, with an optional path such as /sale*.
• The most specific rule wins, and "Try a link" shows which rule applies and why the others do not. Nothing is opened from there.
• Removes known tracking parameters (utm_*, fbclid, gclid and others) from a built-in list you can check and switch off entry by entry.
• Never cleans sign-in, payment or signed links on its own. You decide each time.
• Reads the real destination out of well-known redirect links, on your phone.
• Resolve short link: only when you press it, LinkRudder asks the link's server where it leads. https only, at most 5 redirects, no cookies, never your local network.
• Every change can be undone. The original link is always one tap away. Copy or share either version.
• Home-screen shortcuts for a link and an app. The shortcut is named after the site only.
• Use it as your default browser, or from the Share menu without changing anything.
• Rules backup as a JSON file. History is off unless you switch it on, and keeps only site names.
• Light and dark theme, nine languages.
WHAT IT DOES NOT DO
• It does not see links that an app opens inside itself, or that Android sends straight to an app with verified links.
• It is not a browser and does not show web pages.
• It cannot tell you whether a site is safe. A cleaned link is not a checked link.
• It cannot promise every link works after clean-up; the original is always there.
• It does not open private (incognito) tabs.
• It handles http and https links, not files.
PRIVACY
Rules stay on your phone. No account, no analytics, no advertising SDK. The internet permission is used only by the Resolve short link button, after you press it: only the short link you choose to resolve is sent to that link's own server.
Questions or ideas: contact@basilbase.com, or Send feedback inside the app.
Choose the app for each link. See and undo tracking changes before it opens.
