Author Leslie Rule was born on a dark and stormy night in Seattle, Washington, and grew up in a haunted house on Puget Sound. She's written several bestselling books on the paranormal, and a true crime book, A TANGLED WEB, that covers a frightening Omaha love triangle murder. It was made into a Lifetime movie, co-produced by Kelly Ripa, and first aired in 2022. Leslie has been featured on a number of TV programs, including ABC's 20/20. Leslie was only seventeen when she started attending murder trials with her mother, true crime author Ann Rule. "It was my job to shoot the killers, not with a gun, but with my camera," says Leslie. Many of her courtroom photographs have appeared in her mother's books and in multiple national magazines.
