In this heartwarming story, meet Angie Liu, who loves her mom and dad—and science and art! But does loving something mean she has to pick a side?

Angie knows that engineering is complicated, but she's always loved figuring out how things work, just like her engineer dad. She also loves drawing, just like her artist mom. But when her parents get divorced, Angie’s world is turned upside down and she's no longer sure what or whom she loves.

Soon, Angie is forced to spend time with her dad at the helicopter company where he works. Despite her initial reluctance, Angie thrives in this new environment. But is being interested in her dad’s work a betrayal to her mom? Angie must learn to reconcile the two halves of herself—and fix the open circuit that is her life.

Perfect for fans of Kelly Yang's Front Desk series.

“A compelling and tender story about risk-taker Angie Liu, who finds that complicated, high-tech flying machines are often easier to understand than the human heart.” —Paul Acompora, acclaimed author of In Honor of Broken Things
