Annie Keary (1825–1879) and Eliza Keary (1827–1918) were English sisters who collaborated on The Heroes of Asgard, one of the most widely read Victorian retellings of Norse mythology. Annie was also a successful novelist and children's writer, while Eliza was a poet and memoirist. Their joint work translated the profound fatalism and heroic vision of the Eddas into a lucid narrative form that remained a standard English introduction to Scandinavian myth for decades.
