About this ebook

Against his will, Noctorno Hawthorne, an undercover cop, finds himself embroiled in magic, mayhem and a parallel universe. Too late, he meets an amazing woman only to find she’s destined for his identical twin in another world. And things aren’t going great there.

Noc is recruited to help save that world. What he doesn’t know is his destined love resides in that world.

Franka Drakkar wears a mask. A mask she never takes off to protect herself in a world of malice, intrigue and danger.

When Franka meets Noc and he discovers her secrets, convinced she carries a midnight soul, having shielded herself from forming bonds with anyone, she struggles with accepting his tenderness and care.

When Noc meets Franka, over wine and whiskey, her mask slips and Noc knows it’s her—only her—and he has to find a way to get her to come home with him.

And then make her want to stay.

This book was a fantastic finale to the series and no question went unanswered. It truly made me think about the characters involved and made me completely change my mind about certain ones, which to begin with I truly thought I wouldn't be able to. The character development is just brilliant, I can't fault it. It did everything a book is supposed to do, and I'm not at all disappointed with the ending. This was much anticipated by me so I tried not to get my hopes up too far, just in case! It turns out that didn't matter because it exceeded my expectations.

I wasn’t sure what to expect with this book, but I knew it would be heavy. I took a small break from my binge of the rest of the series when I got to this one, I needed time to re-group before heading into Franka’s story. I was glad I did, because while this did turn it around, it was a storm of emotions to get there. And not what I expected, not what anyone would, and even when you thought you knew, you didn’t, and it turned again.

I honestly drug my feet on starting this, because I wasn't ready for it to end. I love KA's style of pulling into the story and making me feel every emotion along with her characters. Midnight Soul was no different for me. It was beautifully written and Franka became a new favorite for me, which I honestly would not have said in past books. Noc has always held a special place in my heart, but this book affirmed just how amazing he is. Thank you for this wonderful series.

About the author

Kristen Ashley is a New York Times and USA Today bestselling author. She grew up in Indiana, but has lived in Colorado and the West Country of England. Thus she’s been blessed to have friends and family around the globe. Her posse is loopy (to say the least), but loopy is good when you want to write.

Kristen was raised in a house with a large and multi-generational family. They lived on a very small farm in a small town in the heartland and existed amongst the strains of Glenn Miller, The Everly Brothers, REO Speedwagon and Whitesnake (and the wardrobes that matched).

Needless to say, living in a house full of music, clothes and love was a good way to grow up. And as she keeps growing up, it keeps getting better.
