It’s what I get for falling in love with the boy next door. His parents are my parents’ best friends, so even though we went down in flames, every Christmas we had to stay in the same crappy cabin together stuffed with holiday cheer while our families revel in their perfect lives.
I’m not trying to be a scrooge about the whole thing, but it’s hard to be stuck in a snowy cabin with my first love.
For Christmas present, things have changed. He seems different this year–humble and generous. But I swore that I’m done with dating in the city–I want a small-town, charming man in my life, not the disastrous finance and tech bros on the dating apps.
I still see the ghosts of his past self, though, and after all these years, Charlie’s decided he wants me back.
I doubt he’s changed that much–he’s still a workaholic, and he amassed his new wealth through drive, ambition, and going for exactly what he wants.
And what he wants this Christmas…is me.
Swoon in the small town of Here, New York, with this spicy second chance romance full of loving families, Christmas shenanigans, and discovering that heat and chemistry never went away. Perfect for people who wish Hallmark holiday movies were hotter.
I spent ten years traveling the world on a sailboat with my husband. He is not a secret rockstar, nor a grumpy farmer, nor a coworker I accidentally saw naked. I only see him naked intentionally.
Many of my books are based on my travels all over the world – from the Caribbean to Polynesia to Europe. I know exactly how big the world is—having sailed around it—and exactly how small it is, having bumped in to friends worldwide. I’ve been a dishwasher, an engineer, a CEO, and occasionally I get paid to write or sail.
Now I’m in my small town era, both in fiction and real life. I live in Western Massachusetts with a big backyard that would be perfect for a goat if only SOMEONE would let me have one. I like my men to be sweethearts, the bedroom door wide open (with a splash of something new!) and the women to be independent and mature.
