About this ebook

Welcome to Prosperous. You may never leave.

Everybody thrives in the small, isolated community of Prosperous, Maine. Its habitants are blessed with good fortune, financial security and - crucially - privacy.

Some believe this affluence is the work of the town's governors, the Selectmen. Others think it has something to do with the mysterious church that stands just outside the village. All agree that the town enjoys a peace which cannot - shall not - be disrupted.

So when private detective Charlie Parker arrives in Prosperous, asking about the death of a former client, its citizens close ranks.

Parker isn't afraid of a fight, but when it comes to Prosperous and what dwells beneath it, maybe he should be . . .

Cant wait for the next instalment of the Charlie Parker series. Going to read all the series again to catch up on all the previous characters that appear, to try and work out where it all goes from here. Best literary series out there!!!!!!

A little disappointed perhaps the supernatural aspect is wearing thin and the storyline predictable
