About this ebook

Death is a subject we often shy away from, but it's a natural part of life, and one that has sparked countless stories, rituals and traditions throughout human history. From the ancient gods of death and the colourful celebrations of Día de Los Muertos to Victorian mourning customs and the modern-day eco-friendly ways to say goodbye, this book explores the many ways cultures have understood, marked and honoured death.

This gorgeously illustrated book is perfect for curious young readers who are fascinated by mummies, ancient rituals and the mysterious world of death. Did you know that mummies exist outside of Egypt? Or that cremated remains can be transformed into beautiful diamonds?

The Book of Death offers a gentle, respectful way to start conversations about an important and often misunderstood subject. An essential read for ages 8 and up, this book will encourage deep thinking, compassion and understanding as it opens up meaningful discussions about life, death and everything in between.
