A most unusual situation. An earl's title fell vacant and it finally settled on a connection so remote that the new heir didn't even know the title holder. He was a self made industrialist from Glasgow. The man was a widower with an adult daughter bitten by the educational bug. She wanted to build a school to educate the manorial village despite parental opposition. The male principal was an untitled lawyer from Edinburgh who was childhood friend and the other noble in the neighborhood. Trouble comes both for the friend- arrogant, self- centered, impulsive, and the heroine. There are unexpected events in each's plans which result in the anticipated HEA and a promising future for the noble. A creative, plausible, and enjoyable tale for romance lovers.

About the author

Margaret Moore actually began her writing career at the age of eight, when she and a friend would make up stories together. She also loved to read and many years later graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature. After reading a romance by Kathleen Woodiwiss, Margaret took a course in popular fiction writing and through that, found Romance Writers of America. Three years later, in 1991, she sold her first historical romance. And the rest, as they say, is history!
