About this ebook

** THE GENTLEMAN FROM PERU - THE NEW NOVEL FROM ANDRE ACIMAN - IS AVAILABLE NOW**

In this spellbinding new exploration of the varieties of love, the author of Call Me by Your Name lets us back into his characters' lives years after their first meeting

In Find Me, Aciman shows us Elio's father, Samuel, on a trip from Florence to Rome to visit Elio, now a gifted classical pianist. A chance encounter on the train upends Sami's visit and changes his life forever.

Elio soon moves to Paris, where he, too, has a consequential affair, while Oliver, a New England college professor with a family, suddenly finds himself contemplating a return trip across the Atlantic.

Aciman is a master of sensibility, of the intimate details and the nuances of emotion that are the substance of passion. Find Me brings us back inside the world of one of our greatest contemporary romances to show us that in fact true love never dies.

Andre Aciman set the bar so high with Call Me By Your Name, that it's reflection is seen in Find Me undoubtedly, but it felt as if he was shooting for the stars and landed on the clouds. All the dots are connected in the hope to satisfy the readers and do justice by the story. But the sense of nonchalant vehemence is lurking through the book, providing satisfaction while taking away the hopefulness one wishes to see in the characters resembling real lives

I wasn't sure about reading this book , since Call Me is such a favourite of mine. the first part about his father's journey I'm not convinced about yet. its when you hear elio's voice,, his internal speech that the book starts. it's the third part, Oliver's voice, which you don't hear in Call Me, that pulls it together. for me, the most interesting.. the last part, yes, it's what you want to happen, it feels right. but it feels a little rushed, quickly tying up loose ends. would I recommend it. yes I would

It felt like the story was incomplete and had an abrupt ending. But Andrè carried emotions throughout the story.
