About this ebook

‘Erikson is . . . a master of lost and forgotten epochs, a weaver of ancient epics’ SALON.COM

In a faraway land and beneath indifferent skies, the penultimate chapter in Steven Erikson’s game-changing The Malazan Book of the Fallen begins . . .

In war everyone loses. This brutal truth can be seen in the eyes of every soldier in every world . . .

On Letherii, the exiled Malazan army prepares to march into the eastern Wastelands to fight for an unknown cause against an enemy it has never seen. The fate that lies in wait for the Bonehunters is one no soldier can prepare for, and no mortal soul can withstand. Their foe is uncertainty, and stubborn courage the only weapon worth wielding.

They are resolved to make a defiant and heroic last stand in the name of redemption but can deeds be heroic when no one is there to witness them? And can that which is not witnessed change the world?

Destinies are rarely simple, truths never clear. The only certainty is that time is on no-one's side – for the Deck of Dragons has been read, unleashing a power that none can comprehend . . .

‘I stand slack-jawed in awe of The Malazan Book of the Fallen. This masterwork of the imagination may be the high watermark of epic fantasy’
GLEN COOK

Dust of dreams, is far from the best in the Malazan empire series. At least I feel that way about the book. Its has so many characters to track, it becomes a little difficult. But once you have followed the series this far, it's hard to stop.

it could belong with the greatest novels, but it contains too many inner monologues breaking the rhythm of the story. No matter the character, it always rants about the futility of life, which gives the impression of reading a good fantasy novel, regularly cut by some emo teenager's post. I eventually learned to recognize and skip those parts

Some sections are pure genius. But in true Erikson style, there are some rather drawn out and unnecessarily boring sections. On to the final chapter!
