About this ebook

From Harvard psychologist and New York Times bestselling author Dr. Daniel Gilbert comes a vibrantly illustrated children's story about a girl who can wish for ANYTHING she wants on her birthday...only to discover that chocolate and carousels have nothing on kindness, connection, and generosity!

Today is a very special day for Winona—it's her birthday! And on her birthday, her grandfather says she can have anything she wants. Really, truly, absolooly ANYTHING.

With so many options, it's hard for Winona to pick what will really make her happy on this special day.

As she imagines stuffing her face with chocolate and riding the carousel round and round, she realizes that pleasures don’t last long and fun gets old fast.

In this insightful story from Harvard psychologist Dr. Daniel Gilbert, complete with gorgeous visuals, kids will learn that the best things in life are those we do for and with the people we love.
