I got a lot out of this book because it paints a truly comprehensive picture of what real trading looks like, with a sharp focus on the short side. David really gets into the weeds, breaking down fundamentals, stock selection criteria, technical analysis, and the all-important mechanics of risk management. Beyond the technicals, the book stands out because it chronicles his personal journey. He walks you through his entire career progression from the moment he decided to take trading seriously, openly laying out the mistakes, lessons, and raw experiences that molded his current strategy. That blend of personal experience and hard strategy makes it a highly useful read no matter your skill level. If you're already actively trading and tracking setups on platforms like TradingView, you’ll find plenty of actionable insights to refine your daily process. On the flip side, if you’re new to the game, it pulls back the curtain to reveal what the actual grind of becoming a trader entails, well beyond just staring at candles on a screen. I’d highly recommend it to anyone serious about the markets, and especially to anyone looking to deeply understand the mechanics and psychology of short selling.
