About this ebook

'A beautiful vulnerable memoir and manifesto for self-acceptance . . . It’s tender, warm and deeply personal' – Ncuti Gatwa

The instant New York Times bestseller

A book for anyone who has ever been told they’re too much, from the global star of Wicked.

Cynthia Erivo learned the music to Wicked a decade before she needed it, not knowing that those same lyrics would change her life. Ten years later, she performed those songs on a world stage, proof that there is always time to keep discovering yourself and it is never too late to build the life you’re seeking.

In Simply More, through a series of powerful, personal vignettes, Cynthia reflects on the ways that she has grown as an actor and a person, shares the lessons she’s learned over years of performing, and reminds us how we are capable of so much more than we think. Through candid anecdotes, learnings and advice, she challenges readers to understand their bodies, strive for balance and be the best version of themselves, authentically and unapologetically.

Because when we chase our deepest desires, each small step leads us closer to where we want to go.

Part-memoir, part-inspirational manual for better living, Simply More is a must-read for Wicked fans and for anyone seeking greater harmony and fulfilment in their lives.

It has been a long time since I picked up a book that I could not put down until I found myself at the end of it. Beautiful, poetic, emotion-inciting. I love the use of poetry. I love the questions sprinkled across the book; it gets you to reflect on yourself - it gets you to empathise and realise, "Hey, we're all human. Even someone on top of the world would have started somewhere on the ground." This book had me pondering; are we all just extraordinarily "mundane"? We all rise, we all fall - so why do we not show more love and compassion for the people around us? God Bless.
