THE AMISH CHRISTMAS PROMISES (Book 3: The Promise of a New Year)

Gertrude Stoltzfus believes she can make a friend anywhere. Then she meets John Beiler—and discovers that some hearts are far harder to reach than others.

When Gertrude travels to Jefferson to care for her Aunt Mildred, she expects a new adventure and the chance to bring a little happiness into someone else's life. What she does not expect is John, the reserved young man who drives her to her aunt's home. His brief answers and distant manner leave Gertrude wondering whether her cheerful personality can make any difference to someone so determined to keep others at arm's length.

Still, Gertrude refuses to give up easily. As she settles into her new responsibilities, she begins to see that John's silence may conceal more than simple bad temper. Beneath his guarded exterior is a man whose life and responsibilities have made opening his heart anything but easy.

But can a lively, hopeful woman reach someone who seems determined to remain alone? And what will happen when Gertrude's time in Jefferson begins to run out?

With the New Year approaching, both must face what they truly want—and whether love is worth the risk of being vulnerable. Gertrude came to Jefferson to care for her aunt, but she may discover that her own heart needs tending, too.

A heartwarming Amish romance about unexpected connection, patience, and the promise of a fresh beginning.
