Would've been simply unremarkable, but all the sexism and plot holes make it vile. A waste of time and money. I finished it, because unfinished stories tend to linger in my mind, and I didn't wish to keep this badly stitched together pamphlet with me. Do yourself a favour and read something else.

He is considered one of the foremost fantasy writers in Italy, and his works have been widely appreciated by non-genre readers too. A film has been made from his first novel, La Ragazza dei miei Sogni. The Book of Hidden Things is his debut novel in English.
