About this ebook

'Brilliant laugh out loud easy read. I currently have 3 children under 6 and this had me howling -just don't buy this for anyone expecting their first child- let them keep their fantasies about parenthood for a bit longer! Am going to buy for all my fellow knackered mummy friends!' Reader review ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

If you have an embarrassing child who bursts into friends' houses announcing 'It stinks in here' or shouts 'Why is that man so fat?' on the bus (and not a spooky child who replaces felt-tip lids and enjoys dusting) then this book is for you.

Self-confessed imperfect mum Fiona Gibson blends her own hilarious tales of raising three children with anecdotes and nuggets of advice from 300 fellow parents who admit they too get things wrong occasionally.

Stories and tips cover a huge range of parenting dilemmas, from 'what to do if your child has a screaming, plank-rigid wobbler in M&S, and everyone's giving you Bad Parent looks' and 'how to handle a foul-mouthed monster obsessed with the toilet parts of horses' to 'sex: should you make the effort or just not bother?'.

Above all, this funny, refreshingly honest look at being a real-life mum will come as a welcome reminder that yours is not the only family who can't go to Ikea without tears, tantrums and the threat of divorce...

Readers can't get enough of The Fish Finger Years:

'Hilariously funny, a must read for all mums who feed their children fish fingers or not' Reader review ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

'Loved this book. Had me laughing out loud and sympathising with many a situation! Even had a little tear at the end thinking of life when the 4 little monsters have flown the nest' Reader review ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

'Read the whole book with a silly grin on my face... A must read for anyone that's ever raised a child and isn't perfect!!' Reader review ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

'True to life and very, very funny. It's also very re-assuring, knowing that other parents have been through everything you are going through. I loved the true anecdotes, they still make me laugh a couple of months later' Reader review ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

'Fantastic book, so relatable and hilarious' Reader review ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
