At times, this book is incomprehensible. It's like there are parts missing, the characters referencing to things and conversations that have never happened. In the early chapters Jasper answers "no" to a question that was never asked. Chapter 11 repeats the same conversation twice, like the author wrote two versions and just forgot to delete the one she didn't want to keep. And some things make no sense, like "snow clinging to the bare branches of evergreen trees" — why would the branches of an evergreen tree be bare in the winter? Honestly, I started to suspect that this was written with AI, but the publication date seems to rule that out. It's just badly edited, I guess. Unfortunately, I can't finish this, it's just too confusing to read.

Thus book has an intriguing plot, I’m only half way through and I can’t wait to find out what the family is hiding. In saying that the errors in this book are giving me whip lash. Page 103 Gina walks out in a huff and leaves the room and then Page 105 Gina follows Asher out of the room.. so in the same scene Gina leaves twice somehow?? Major whiplash and that’s only one instance of the trivial mistakes but ruins a book, I’m glad this book was free because I would be mad if I paid money for this.

I'm not quite sure why it was labelled romance or why the blurb mentioned from hate to love. it is neither. Sex by itself is not love. The main relationship was too unhealthy, borderline abusive to be anything else. There was no hate. Much like the theme of the book, my reading this was a bad choice.
