RJ, shoved into roles he wasn't yet ready for, becomes the head of household after the tragic death of both parents and his infant sibling. After losing all hope and doubting his abilities, he ends his own life by hanging himself from a busy freeway overpass. During a journey to his afterlife, “Via Tranquilla”, RJ must confront the pinnacle moments of his life that have shaped him.
Then, witness Stella's confusing spiral into madness and dementia as she sadly focuses on “The Cracks in the Ceiling”. Feeling like slave to her bed and a shell of her former self, she clings to the dreams of reuniting with her husband in Heaven and to the love of her granddaughter Lucy.
