Hunter Davis, author of the enchanting World of Asteria series, discovered his love for storytelling at an early age. Captivated by tales of adventure and heroism, he spent his childhood dreaming up worlds of courage and wonder. It wasn’t until a college English assignment—where he first wrote the origins of Antar the Dwarf—that Hunter recognized his gift for crafting immersive fantasy. That short story became the opening chapter of The Dragred’s Deception, published during the 2020 pandemic and marking the beginning of his writing career.
Hunter’s works range from sweeping epic fantasies to thoughtful Christian studies, all centered on clean, inspiring narratives that resonate with readers of every age. Guided by his faith in Jesus Christ, he writes with a purpose: to create stories that uplift, challenge, and offer hope through adventure and transformation.
Drawing inspiration from literary giants like J.R.R. Tolkien, Louis L’Amour, G.A. Henty, and C.S. Lewis, Hunter weaves together the wonder of Middle-earth, the grit of the American frontier, and the timeless magic of Narnia. When he’s not writing, you’ll likely find him outdoors—embracing the same spirit of exploration that fuels his stories
