Artificial Intelligence (AI) has moved from being a futuristic idea to something we use in everyday life. This book aimed to introduce first-year undergraduate students to AI in an easy-to-understand, non-technical way. We started by explaining what AI is, its history, and its main areas like Machine Learning, Computer Vision, Natural Language Processing, Robotics, and Knowledge Engineering. We also saw how AI is used in real life such as in healthcare, finance, agriculture, education, and transportation, showing how it can solve practical problems. Understanding ethics and fairness in AI is very important. AI systems must be designed to be fair, safe, and respectful of privacy. We discussed issues like bias, accountability, transparency, and inclusivity, so students know how to use AI responsibly. A key part of this book was about Generative AI and Prompt Engineering. Tools like ChatGPT, Gemini, Hugging Face, and Perplexity show how AI can help with writing, research, coding, content creation, and learning. Students learned how to write good prompts to get accurate, useful, and creative results from AI. We also explored how AI can help in education, business, creative writing, designing videos, presentations, thumbnails, and branding. We looked at new trends and the future of AI, encouraging students to think about how AI will continue to change industries, research, and daily life. The goal is to give students knowledge, understanding, and a responsible mindset when using AI. In short, this book gives a solid foundation in AI. It shows how AI can be a helpful partner in learning, work, and creativity. By combining theoretical insights with practical applications and ethical considerations, students are empowered to explore, innovate, and make informed decisions in a world increasingly influenced by artificial intelligence. AI is not just a tool for the future, it is already part of our lives today, helping us work smarter, learn faster, and think bigger.
