درباره این ای-کتاب
"All stitched up and ready to go!"
Seams is a fiercely raw, darkly comedic poetry collection that strips back the glossy illusions of personal stability to expose the mechanics of keeping a life together. Using the tactile metaphors of sewing, tailoring, and stitching, Darren Hobson documents the frantic internal struggle against unraveling thoughts, paranoia, anxiety, and the constant psychological fog of modern existence.
Do not expect delicate, polite verses. In this uncompromising collection of free verse, everyday domestic craftsmanship collides violently with heavy metal subculture, political corruption, and the suffocating surveillance of a modern police state. Moving seamlessly between childhood isolation, schoolyard bullying, and a fierce defence against plagiarism and creative theft, Hobson uses physical actions to ground profound emotional trauma. Yet, amidst the existential dread, sudden shifts into self-deprecating irony challenge the poet's own creative motifs, finding brief moments of creative harmony and peace within the noise.
Driven by a propulsive stream-of-consciousness rhythm that pairs conversational cadence with punchy rhyming couplets, Seams rejects traditional literary ornament. This is an unfiltered, visceral transmission from an independent voice that refuses to compromise.
