About this ebook

He was my first love. The man I thought I'd spend forever with... until my parents moved away and I lost contact with him. I've been back in my hometown for a while and never ran into him. The last place I expect to see him is at a hockey game... on the ice.

She's the one I compare every woman to. The reason I don't date even though there's no chance of us getting back together. Yet when I'm slammed into the glass during a game and find her on the other side, I can't stop thinking about her and what could've been.

e-ARC Review - 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Hockey romance with a closed door approach done right. It's a strongly recommended read The tension between Sloan (FMC) and Cody (MMC) is amazing. I love the dynamic and family spirit from the people of Mulberry Lane - such a beautiful secluded small world to live in. Also the connection between the twins is so wholesome - I love how they interact and are always there for each other. Additionally Jax is this little matchmaker made in heaven. Regarding hockey - it's literally the best sport. So I was all in from the beginning. I love the closed door approach, it keeps the focus on the deeper emotional level, rather than the surface. And oh my are there many emotions involved on so many levels. Book review; recommended read; ARC reader; Support for authors

I loved this second chance story between Sloan and Cody, plus his twin Jax is a great secondary character (it’s not a love triangle). These are wonderful characters & they deliver wonderful found family vibes, hockey action, witty banter, humour & romance I’ve come to expect from this author. This was such an easy & enjoyable story, it’s heartfelt and full of small town charm.

I didn’t want to put this down. Captivated from the very first chapter. The dynamics between Sloan, Cody and Jax were perfect and the fact that Sloan appreciates and accepts a twin dynamic is so special. Can’t wait to read Jax’s story when it’s out.

About the author

Kristin is the magic behind The Boys of Mulberry Lane. From this first series she has created an entire world for us to call home. Often you can find little “Easter Eggs” throughout her books as well as character crossovers.

She resides in Pennsylvania just outside Philly with her husband, children, and several furry friends. When she isn’t writing she enjoys sewing/crafting, reading, and spending time with her family camping and exploring nature. She also works part time in the operating room which grants the medical knowledge she shares in her books.

So how did Kristin come to be an author? The simple answer….boredom. While her husband was away for work after the little monsters had already been tucked snuggly in their beds, she sat down to dip into an idea that she thought would be “just for funsies”. Now, 40-ish books later you can find her up at all hours writing away, because who needs sleep anyway?
