About this ebook
EUROPE STARES INTO THE ABYSS
Plague and famine stalk the land, greedy princes care for nothing but their own ambitions, and an ancient evil lurks beyond the edges of the map..
When only dark paths lead towards the light - paths the righteous dare not tread - the Chapel of the Holy Expediency steps forward. Its congregation of cursed monsters and convicted heretics will cross every line, commit every sin, and turn every mission into a disastrous bloodbath in the service of the greater good.
Now the hapless Brother Diaz must somehow bind the worst of the worst to a higher cause: to put a thief on the throne of Troy, and unite the sundered church against the coming apocalypse.
WHEN YOU'RE HEADED THROUGH HELL, YOU NEED THE DEVILS ON YOUR SIDE.

Not sure I can add more then anyone else already has. This is the suicide squad meets the league of extraoridinary gentlemen with characters and world building that is utterly Joe Accrombie. Perhaps I can add this. There is said to be three books in this universe. The Devils is self contained. Meaning you won't need to wait for next book. It already feels like there is story before and after this one I would love to explore but I dont feel its unfinished I just want more.

One of the best books I have read in years. a very unexpected and different Joe Abercrombie book to his others, all of which also loved but this is packed with humour and entertainment of a level I rarely enjoy in a book. A kind of dark and morbid Terry Pratchettesque read. Buy it, you won't regret it

Absolute tripe. Don't bother if you were expecting anything like the previous books in the collection from this author.
