True Wind: Two friends, one boat and an impossible crossing
About this ebook
Ewan McGregor and Eric Stickland have been friends since primary school. Eric, who has limited sailing experience, and Ewan, a complete novice, made a childhood pact to one day do the unthinkable: sail across the Atlantic unsupported. True Wind will chronicle their journey from the school gates to the high seas, and everything in between, approaching the monumental challenge with candour and a willingness to embrace every setback. From restoring a nearly forty-year-old Oyster sailboat to training at Loch Tay to tackling the ferocious Irish Sea and the Horse Latitudes of West Africa, the narrative will provide an unflinching accounting of the voyage.
