The novel is fairly average. it tries to do a blend of Percy Jackson and Harry Potter, however it fails to capture the wonder of myth and fantasy as well as those novels. the fantasy elements seem to be a hodge podge mix of fantasy wyverns, elementals, and other creatures that don't make any sense in the senario. The ranking system and dynamics between characters could be interesting, however lack depth as ranks are climbed. It's ok to pass the time as a quick read. However if you explore it in too much depth it becomes lack luster and boring. What's the point of Call being constantine if he doesn't retain his memories? It starts off somewhat strong and doesn't stick the landing. I don't think tve series will be a priority for me.

Ok, so I have read some of it. Like the first chapter. Cassie released that on the shadowhunters website I think. Anyway I was ablw to read it and I kind of loved it, but so much can happen from the first to last chapter. The wording and description was brilliant. I quite like the plot and am definitely going to read it when it comes out. I hope that this is as good as the authors' other works which I enjoyed immensley.

Fantastic story. The concept was well developed. Has a harry potter feel about it. But it's hard not to relate anything to do with magic to harry potter. Good job!
