About this ebook
A powerful and empowering young adult novel about the pursuit of success against all odds.
“Provides insights into long-held traditions at a mostly unfamiliar, formerly male-dominated institution. Compelling, at times stomach-turning, reading.”—School Library Journal
“Andi’s story is an incredibly inspiring one that proves anything is achievable if you want it badly enough.”—Teen People Book Club
Seventeen-year-old Andrea “Andi” Davis isn’t your average West Point cadet. for Andi, entry into the U.S. Army’s prestigious service academy means a chance to escape her dysfunctional family and to prove to herself that she has what it takes. But nothing could have prepared her for the rigors of “Beast”—insider slang for Cadet Basic Training—or for the strength that Andi will find within herself.
Compelling and powerful, Battle Dress is a tale of triumph—based on the author’s own experiences—that won’t fail to move you.
