About this audiobook

Berlin. Four friends. One extreme idea.
One of the most gripping thrillers ever written.

Kris, Tamara,Wolf and Frauke set up an agency called Sorry. An agency to right wrongs. Unfair dismissals, the wrongly accused: everyone has a price, and Sorry will find out what it is. It’s as simple as that.

What they hadn’t counted on was their next client being a cold-hearted killer. But who is the killer and why has he killed? Someone is mocking them and hell is only just beginning.

what the hell did I just listen to? I first picked this book up in 2012 or so and I have it away or lost it. I bought it as an audio book in about 2015 and only got 6% of the way in for some reason. Anyway recently I decided to give it another listen. I think I'm glad I did. It is not an easy listen at all and needs a lot of concentration but is worth the effort. I find the whole concept of the 'agency' they set up a bit outlandish but considering how bizarre real life is I am sure stranger things have happened. It's a very affecting story. I can understand why people have difficulty with the POV styles in it, after a whole I got used to it and found it easy to follow along. At the end of it it's a very effective story of vigilante justice which does not shy away from the effect such violence ends up having on totally innocent people. There are GRAPHIC descriptions of child abuse and other violence in the story that are very hard to listen to but in my opinion this is not done gratuitously. It is done to make you realise how awful all this is and the effect it has had on destroying someone's life and values. I thought the characterisation was extremely well done. I feel so sorry for Tamara and Chris and only wish them good things in the future.
