About this audiobook
This audiobook is narrated by an AI Voice. On an ordinary night full of warmth and routine, Lina, Kevin, and their loyal dog Rex drift into sleep, never expecting magic. No feathers. No moon ladders. Only silence and comfort. But dreams do not wait for children to be ready.
When a glowing bone enters the room like a falling star, the world dissolves. The children find themselves inside Rex’s dream: a realm made of tennis balls, sunshine on carpet, wet noses, and the ache of waiting by the door. There, the Clockmaker appears in a new form, a silver guardian dog whose eyes tick like a clock. He is not here to guide the children. He is here to test Rex.
From the grass below rises a different Shadow: not the elegant fear that stalks children, but the loneliness born from abandoned kennels, forgotten bowls, and nights without a voice. It tempts Rex with a terrible truth: dogs love humans, but humans do not always understand dogs. Why protect those who cannot hear you?
Rex must make a choice. To run free, selfish and safe, or to stand beside the children, loyal and vulnerable. What follows is one of the most powerful stories in the Clockmaker series, where courage is not measured in magic, but in quiet devotion.
The Clockmaker of Rex’s Dream celebrates the bond between children and their pets, the unspoken language of loyalty, and the idea that love is strongest when it has no explanation. Written for young listeners and families, this gentle, atmospheric tale speaks to anyone who has ever loved a dog, or been loved by one.
