Where the Pines Stand

On the third day, the ground never stops exploding.

An eighteen-year-old soldier lies in a trench where life is reduced to three signals: whistle, pause, impact.

When silence suddenly comes, he leaves.

He runs toward a distant grove of pines – quiet, untouched, unreal.

But as he reaches them, reality begins to blur. Is he escaping… or dreaming?

A psychological war story about survival, perception, and the fragile line between reality and illusion.
