اس آڈیو بک کے بارے میں
Three friends, one ramshackle London lodging house, and a lively argument about women that sets everything in motion.
Bartlett Bayre, Ted Southerley and Jan Repton are young bachelors sharing cramped rooms in Edwardian London while chasing careers as a writer, a journalist and a painter. The house creaks, the ambitions are big, and the trio cannot agree on what to make of women, love or the future. When the debate reaches its peak, they settle it the way only restless young men would: by packing their bags and setting off on an adventure.
Their destination is the Channel Islands, where they hope to track down Bayre's reclusive uncle. What begins as a lighthearted escape soon leads the friends to enigmatic characters, curious events and half-told stories about the Bayre family's past. Along the way, a charming local girl catches their attention, and friendship, humor and budding romance begin to intertwine with the mystery.
Florence Warden, the prolific and popular Victorian author of The House on the Marsh, blends her gift for mystery with a generous dose of humor in this playful tale of bohemian life, loyal friendship and secrets waiting to be uncovered. Part comedy of manners, part mystery, part love story, The Mis-rule of Three is a brisk, entertaining listen full of banter, atmosphere and intrigue, with a puzzle that deepens as the journey unfolds.
