SPELL CASTER

She thought she was interviewing for a desk job. They were recruiting a weapon.

Rebecca Chen's first "real job" after college seems too good to be true: great pay, government contract work, and all she has to do is search the internet for unexplained phenomena. Boring, they tell her. Entry-level grunt work.

They're lying.

Meridian Solutions isn't looking for a researcher. They're looking for her—because three years ago, Becca survived a car crash that should have killed her. And they've been watching ever since, waiting to see if she'll do the impossible again.

When Becca uncovers the truth buried in classified files—that Meridian has been secretly recruiting people with supernatural abilities for decades—she triggers a search signature that paints a target on her back. Within hours, the office is attacked by a rogue sorcerer who kills everyone in his path to reach her. In the chaos, Becca's dormant power explodes to the surface.

Now she's blamed for the attack. The government wants to capture and train her. The rogue operative wants to recruit her for his war against the system. And Becca just wants to understand what she is before her uncontrolled abilities get someone else killed.

Hunted by both sides. Dangerous to everyone around her. Running out of time.

In a world where magic hides behind government contractors and black-budget programs, one woman must decide: accept captivity and become their weapon, join the terrorists who "liberate" others like her through violence, or find a third path that no one believes exists—freedom.

Perfect for fans of The Rook, The X-Files, and Three Days of the Condor, SPELL CASTER is an adrenaline-fueled urban fantasy thriller that asks: what happens when you discover you're not the person hunting monsters—you're the monster they've been hunting?

No secret societies. No hidden marketplaces. Just normal people discovering they can break reality—and the two sides fighting to control them.
