About this audiobook
This audiobook is narrated by an AI Voice.
In this foundational sermon—the first installment of a three-part series on spiritual rebirth—nineteenth-century Anglican bishop and evangelical preacher J. C. Ryle addresses one of the most solemn declarations in Holy Scripture: the absolute necessity of regeneration for salvation.
Writing with characteristic pastoral directness and biblical clarity, Ryle cuts through religious formality and nominal Christianity to examine two crucial questions:
The Necessity of Regeneration: Why man’s natural heart—corrupt through the fall of Adam and dead in trespasses and sins—cannot perceive, love, or enter the spiritual kingdom of God by mere outward morality or religious duty.
The Nature of Regeneration: What it truly means to be born of the Spirit—a complete, inward transformation of the heart, mind, and affections, resulting in a passage from spiritual death to life in Christ.
Known for his uncompromising commitment to Gospel truth, J. C. Ryle (author of Holiness and Practical Religion) offers a searching message on human depravity, divine grace, and true conversion.
Regeneration – Sermon I is the opening chapter of a dedicated three-sermon trilogy, serving as an essential listen for Christians seeking grounded Reformed theology, classical evangelical preaching, and historical doctrine on the work of the Holy Spirit.
