Romantasyland

A romantasy superfan finds herself lost in a real fantasy world and destined to save the kingdom. A loving romantasy satire standalone for fans of Legends and Lattes and Assistant to the Villain.

**********

Eve Lockwood is almost thirty and deeply unimpressed with her life. She’s stuck in Hartford in a soul-sucking insurance job, surviving on boxed wine, romantasy novels, and catastrophically bad decisions. So when a fantasy retreat in Virginia offers escape from grief, burnout, and her hopeless crush on her coworker, Eve signs up.

Naturally, she falls through a portal instead.

Now Eve is stranded in Amaliraen, a magical world of monsters, prophecy, glittering courts, haunted forests, and alarmingly attractive winged people. Worse, everyone is convinced she’s the Vel Eressa, a legendary human savior destined to break a centuries-old curse. Eve isn’t sure she can save herself, let alone a kingdom – but with dangerous magic waking inside her and the creeping suspicion that the official story is total nonsense, she may have no choice.
