Mnezo is for people who are serious about Brazilian Portuguese: moving to Rio or São Paulo, preparing for the CELPE-Bras exam, or talking with a Brazilian family. Words that stay with you, a clear path to C2 and a capybara who studies alongside you — with no guilt trips about a missed day.

HOW WORDS STICK
• Sound-alike hooks: a Portuguese word hides a sound you already know in English, and a vivid illustrated scene ties that sound to the meaning. Thousands of words have one.
• 8,100+ words voiced by Brazilians — pick a female voice (Roberta) or a male one (Dyego). Example sentences are voiced too.
• FSRS-6 spaced repetition brings a word back just as it starts to fade. A word that keeps slipping away can be set aside and brought back later.
• 21 exercise types: flashcards, translation choice, pictures, building a word from letters, typing, dictation, listening, fill-in-the-gap, sentence building, matching pairs, idioms, real-life situations and pronunciation.

COURSES FROM ZERO TO C2
• A0 "First words and phrases": 50 words and expressions in 10 topics (introductions, cafés, family), if Portuguese is brand new to you.
• Step-by-step A1, A2, B1, B2, C1 and C2 courses: words, grammar, reading and listening in one path, with a check at the end of each stage.
• CELPE-Bras: a course from zero, the main course with writing tasks, the oral part with topics and strategies, and an exam simulator.
• Your progress is shared with mnezo.com: start a lesson in the browser, finish it on your phone.

THE CAPYBARA
• She cheers you on in lessons, shows what each new screen holds once, and gives you a tip a day.
• Chat with the capybara: she explains grammar, checks a phrase, chats in Portuguese and points you to the right topics and exercises.
• You decide how much of her you see, from "Off" to "Lively". Dress her up in the fitting room; saving an outfit needs Premium.

ALSO IN THE APP
• Grammar with examples and tables: tap a Portuguese word to see its translation and hear it.
• 12 books: classics adapted by level, every chapter voiced, six of them with a full cast. A tapped word shows what it means in that very sentence.
• Reading texts and listening with comprehension questions, plus everyday phrases and idioms.
• Writing tasks with AI feedback, exams for every level, and "My mistakes" to go back over what went wrong.
• Pronunciation: say the word out loud and the app checks it was recognised. The microphone is used only in these exercises; you can always answer in writing or tap "Can't speak now".
• Statistics: your streak, study hours, words learned and progress by level.
• A home-screen widget: daily goal, words to review and your streak.
• One reminder a day when words are due — only if you turn it on.
• Lost connection mid-session? Your answers are kept and sent when you're back online.
• Light and dark theme, following your system.
