About this app

Weather Trails turns your watch into a small window onto a mountain trail, drawn in the style of a vintage national-park poster. The scene follows your real weather, so a glance at your wrist tells you what it is like outside before you read a single number.

THE SCENE CHANGES WITH YOUR WEATHER
• Sunny: blue sky over the peak and a warm trail
• Cloudy: soft overcast light and drifting clouds
• Rain: a wet, darker trail with animated rainfall
• Snow: a frosty meadow with animated snowfall
• Night: a starry sky over the moonlit mountain

EVERYTHING AT A GLANCE
• Large, easy-to-read time with optional seconds
• Current temperature, today's high and low, and a condition icon
• Heart rate, steps and battery, with the steps and battery spots swappable for any data you like
• Day and date in your watch's language

THOUGHTFUL DETAILS
• Tap the time for alarms, the date for your calendar, the weather for the forecast and your heart rate for the heart-rate app
• A minimal always-on display: just the mountain skyline, time and date on black, to save battery
• One consistent type scale and spacing, tested on real round screens from 384 to 480 pixels
• Weather data comes from your watch; nothing is collected or shared

COMPATIBILITY
Requires Wear OS 5 or newer (for example Pixel Watch 2/3/4 and Galaxy Watch 4 and newer after updating). Weather appears when your watch has location and an internet or phone connection; tapping the weather opens Pixel Weather on Pixel watches.

HOW TO USE
After installing, long-press your current watch face, swipe to the end and tap +, then choose Weather Trails. Long-press again and tap the pencil to change the data spots or turn seconds on or off.
A flat poster landscape that changes with your weather. For Wear OS.

What’s new

The scene now switches between day and night on time around sunrise and sunset.
Tapping the weather, time and date feels tidier.
