UniFi

Absolutely appalling experience. Have used Ubiquiti kit for years, but this app is something else. Now on 3+ hours trying to setup a UniFi Express WiFi box with it. Refuses to login or when finally accepting the same login details it blocks on the "trust device" screen with nothing working to accept or reject or cancel or skip ... just blocked with the "trust device" and "skip" buttons doing absolutely nothing. A company with a $36B market cap but the software is bug-riddled junk. Disappointing.

Very helpful for at-a-glance network status as well as configuration, I use both the mobile and web apps. Only complaint is it's a bit hard to find things sometimes (I can never remember where port forwarding is). And very happy with the ecosystem as installed in a ~1900 remodeled multi family, though I needed an external guide/comparison site to have any idea what hardware to buy.

Ubiquiti has no comparison. Although this isn't as plug and play as most routers, it's leagues better. Once you do the setup, which ubiquitis app makes very easy, you will notice just how superior this router is. And the ubiquiti software is just flat out amazing. Top notch for sure! You DEFINITELY get what you pay for. Now that I've used ubiquiti everything else just feels cheap. I have COMPLETE control of my network.
