Many, many rough edges both in the content and the app. Edit out time critical content (news, weather). You can do this easily. Don't start streaming news with an advert. That really sucks. Put a close button on every interface. I cannot abide an app that cannot be closed. But keep up the good work - vital public service, especially for the diaspora (I live overseas). GRMA.

cannot cast to audio device contrary to below, it's only casting to TV/ video enabled devices. with Tune in and Player being so glitchy now, it's really frustrating . This is from the app FAQ, but is incorrect. Can I cast or use Airplay with this app? You can. Select the cast icon in the top right corner of any page. From there you can connect via Chromecast, or use AirPlay to send audio to your speakers, headphones or any other Apple device on the same Wi-Fi. also...cannot share this directly

Hi Georgina, we're investigating adding more compatible devices for casting. If you wouldn't mind, it would be helpful to email listensupport@rte.ie with details of some of the devices you have had issues with so we can work on support.

Congrats on the new app RTE LISTEN. Someone with a brain who thought things through or was allowed to do so has produced an excellent product from a number of dimensions. You can download programmes. Mark favourites. Move back and forward a few secs easily. Avoid annoying ads. To get the best out of it ..its best to stay signed in. Its now up there with BBC sounds. Credit where credit is due..deserves 5 stars.
