About this app

Siddur Now is a Jewish prayer book that opens to the prayer you need right now. It reads the zmanim where you are and brings up Shacharit, Mincha or Maariv at the right hour, with the day's changes already in the text.

◆ THE PRAYER FOR THIS MOMENT
- The Now screen knows the time of day and opens the prayer that fits it
- The home screen shows today's Hebrew date, the special days, the zmanim and one-tap blessings
- Mashiv HaRuach, Tal UMatar, Ya'aleh Veyavo, Al HaNissim and Hallel appear on the days they are said
- On days without Tachanun, it is left out, with a short note saying why
- Each change comes with its source (Shulchan Aruch, Mishnah Berurah) for study

◆ THREE NUSACHIM
- Ashkenaz, Sefard and Edot HaMizrach
- Where customs differ, both opinions are shown. Your nusach sets the default and you choose your practice

◆ HEBREW, ENGLISH AND TRANSLITERATION
- Hebrew with full nikud
- English translation alongside the Hebrew
- Word-by-word transliteration in Sephardi (Israeli) or Ashkenazi pronunciation, so you can follow every word even if you are still learning to read Hebrew

◆ WHAT IS INSIDE
- Weekday Shacharit, Mincha and Maariv
- Hallel, Mussaf for Rosh Chodesh and Chol HaMoed, Sefirat HaOmer
- Birkat Hamazon with Zimun, blessings before food, Al HaMichya (Me'ein Shalosh) and Borei Nefashot
- Asher Yatzar, Tefilat HaDerech, Kriat Shema al HaMita, blessings on mitzvot and on sights and sounds
- Havdalah, Chanukah candles, Megillah, Kiddush Levana, Sheva Brachot, Bedikat Chametz, Eruv Tavshilin and Hafrashat Challah
- Kaddish, Ashrei, Aleinu and the Song of the Day

◆ ZMANIM FOR YOUR LOCATION
- Dawn, sunrise, latest Shema and Shacharit (MGA and GRA), midday, Mincha Gedola and Ketana, Plag HaMincha, sunset, nightfall and candle lighting
- Location from your device, a city you choose, or your time zone
- Calculated on your phone, so zmanim and prayers work offline

◆ PRAYER REMINDERS
- Shacharit at a time you choose, Mincha before sunset, Maariv at nightfall
- Candle lighting and Havdalah for Shabbat and Yom Tov
- Rosh Chodesh, Sefirat HaOmer and Chanukah

◆ RABBI ARI (PREMIUM)
Ask Rabbi Ari, our AI study companion, about the words, the order and the customs of each prayer. He answers with sources for study. For a halachic question, ask your rabbi. Premium gives you unlimited questions. The siddur, zmanim and reminders are free.

◆ GOOD TO KNOW
Siddur Now holds the weekday prayers and the blessings. For the Shabbat and festival services, use a Shabbat siddur or a machzor.
