The game is enjoyable at first, although the 'cost' (stars in the main game, energy in the investigation sub-game) to complete activities is ridiculously high. Then you get to the point where the 'power-up' sub-games are made too hard to complete without paying money, and you end up just playing for a few minutes, a few times a day after the power-ups have regenerated. At that point you lose interest and uninstall the game!

I'm disappointed with the new update. I'm 760+ levels in and I loved this game because it was different. The only thing I wanna do is search stuff in pictures. Now the new update doesn't show the level style anymore on that little icon where you can choose your tools and on top of that there are "connect three or more to finish". If I want to play that kind of game, I can play candy crush. This just does not fit into the story and it really annoys me. Befor the game was a 10/10, 5 stars for me.

The game could be a lot more fun if there weren't so many match-3 levels. Not only are there so many, but most of them don't give you sufficient moves to get by, and some are nearly impossible without the use of power ups. I really enjoy the hidden objects and mini puzzles, but they are very few. The game just doesn't have the right balance of puzzles.
