Pixel Pet: Retro Dog Watch

Look at your watch. Your dog looks back.

You and your dog sit on a bench by the lake, looking across the water at a small city. It is all pixel art, drawn pixel by pixel. Nothing to feed, no levels, no scores: just the two of you, every hour of the day.

THE LOOK-BACK
Raise your wrist and your dog turns over its shoulder to look at you, then back to the lake. Tap your dog for a head tilt, a grin or a blink.

A NEW LITTLE STORY EVERY HOUR
On the hour a short chapter plays: Fetch (a stick into the lake, a swim out, and the lake shaken off all over you), Look Up, Zoomies, Lap Nap, Lean-In, Visitors, Snack or Lake Watch. The order changes every day, and at sunset you always lean in together. Rain brings an umbrella hour, snow opens with a shake-off, and a full moon brings a howl.

LIFE ON THE LAKE
Ducks paddle past, a lit train crosses the far bridge at half past, and city windows light up one by one through golden hour. Tap the lake for a leaping fish, or the sky for geese by day and a shooting star at night.

WEATHER YOU CAN SEE COMING
The sky follows the time of day and the season, and live weather changes what you both do: an umbrella in the rain, a huddle in a storm, fog over the city. When rain is due within a few hours, a grey curtain hangs over the far hills and the info line shows when.

ALWAYS-ON NIGHT VIGIL
Always-on shows the two of you as a quiet silhouette in lamplight, with a new pose each minute, the real moon phase on its arc, fireflies in summer and snowflakes when it snows. Or choose Clock only.

MAKE IT YOURS
Hold the face and choose Customize or Edit. Dog offers 34 dogs across 16 breeds: Beagle, Border Collie, Boxer, Bulldog, Cavalier, Corgi, Dachshund, French Bulldog, German Shepherd, Golden Retriever, Labrador, Miniature Schnauzer, a Mixed "Scruff", Poodle, Rottweiler and Springer Spaniel. Best friend adds a second dog. You offers Hood up, Hood down, Long hair, Beanie or Just the dog, with Jacket, Hair and Skin colors.

Clock offers Chunky or Slim digits in Cream, Moon or Pup Sync, the color of your dog's breed. Info line shows the date and weather, the date only, or nothing. Sky follows the live sky, or holds clear daylight, golden hour or night. Hemisphere is automatic from your time zone, or north or south.

LITTLE DETAILS
Paw prints fill in as you walk and a leash hangs on the lamppost at your step goal. The lamppost glow shows your battery and fairy lights wind round it while charging. A duck carries a letter when you have unread messages. Your dog's tail wags with your heart rate. Tap the clock for alarms, the date for your calendar, the lamp for battery and the letter for messages.

OPTIONAL PHONE SETUP
Pixel Pet · Setup previews the face and walks you through adding it: after installing the watch face, hold your current face, choose Add watch face, then Pixel Pet. Menus vary by watch.

REQUIREMENTS
Watch face: Wear OS 6 or later on a round watch.
Optional phone Setup: Android 7.0 or later.
Weather, heart rate, steps and complications depend on the data your watch provides. Day and month names are in English.
