Life Reborn: Reincarnation Sim

Which life on Earth will you be reborn as? Only the reels and the odds decide.

Life Reborn is a reincarnation simulator that draws your next life from the real populations of living things on Earth, then lets you live it out on luck and choice. You might become a bacterium, an ant, a frog, a cat, an elephant, a blue whale, or a human. Once in a while you may even be reborn as a Tyrannosaurus rex, extinct for about 66 million years.

■ A 3-Reel Rebirth Draw
Three vertical reels spin. When all three line up on the same creature, your fate is sealed. You cannot choose what you become, and the rarer the draw, the sweeter the moment.

■ Three Draw Modes
- Easy: drawn by the order of magnitude of population, so you meet a wide variety of creatures.
- Normal: drawn by total biomass, which favors plants, fungi, and bacteria.
- Hard: drawn by the raw number of individuals on Earth, so nearly every draw goes to microbes.
Select Mode lets you pick any creature from the dex.

■ Choose the Severity of Fate
Pick Gentle, Standard, or Harsh (Realistic) survival odds. Harsh brings the unforgiving rates of the wild, where most eggs and larvae never grow up.

■ A Life of Events and Choices
Start as an egg or a baby, grow up, and grow old. Along the way you face predators, strange weather, disease, hunger, competition, and disaster. At each event you choose how to respond: run, hide, fight, or blend into the group. Your odds depend on the creature's speed, defense, camouflage, toughness, social strength, and intelligence, and the wheel of fate decides the outcome.

■ Predator Survival Battles
On Normal or Hard draws with Severity of Fate set to Standard or Harsh, a predator attack becomes a special survival battle. Stay alive until the timer runs out while predators close in. Once you are an adult you can fire back automatically; while you are small, all you can do is run. Each creature has its own predators: lions hunt the elephant, snakes hunt the frog, dragonfly nymphs hunt the water flea. Play with drag, touch, or keyboard, or let Auto mode dodge for you.

■ Leave Descendants
As an adult, you can reproduce. The number of eggs, seeds, or young you leave behind counts toward your final judgment. Reborn as livestock such as a chicken, cow, or pig? You may get a chance to escape and go feral. If you leave descendants, you can live again as one of them.

Every creature you meet is recorded in the dex, with facts on its population, lifespan, and chance of reaching adulthood.

■ Judgment and Scoring
Each life ends with a verdict: PERFECT, GREAT, GOOD, CLEAR, or MISS. Earn virtue points to spend on redraws and on charms that help your next rebirth. Reborn as a human, your standing at birth changes how your life unfolds.

Every creature and habitat (forest, grassland, underground, pond, ocean) is drawn in original artwork, with day, night, and changing seasons. Each habitat has its own music and sound effects.
