About this app

You're hauling 15 kg on your back, and your watch logs a walk. So: pack on, enter the weight, track it! Ruck Tracker factors load, pace, incline and terrain into your calorie burn. You carry the weight, so it should count.

Use this tracker to track your rucking with load, distance, incline and calories. Want it customized? Feel free to contact us.

Features:
- Pack weight in kg or lb, shown as a share of your body weight
- Optional distance goal in whole km or miles: an arc along the edge fills up, the watch vibrates when you reach it
- Terrain: road, trail, sand or snow
- Distance and pace from the watch's GPS; pace or speed, as you choose
- The phone app can share the GPS track of a ruck as a GPX file with an app you choose
- Calorie estimate with the Pandolf equation (load, speed, uphill grade, terrain); it is always an estimate
- Load × distance on the summary: 20 kg over 8 km is 160 kg·km (or lb·mi), which makes rucks with different loads comparable
- Automatic laps every 0.5, 1, 2 or 5 km — the same figures in miles — or off
- Heart rate from the watch's sensor, colored by heart rate zone
- No tap ever starts or stops a ruck: hold the upper half of the screen for a second — or use a spare side button if your watch has one, so rain or sweat on the display does not end your ruck by accident
- History on the watch with your newest 100 rucks
- Average and maximum heart rate in the history
- Available in 28 languages

Settings on the watch: body weight (75 kg / 165 lb preset; set your body weight in the settings), automatic laps on/off and their distance, weight step, pace or speed, units (automatic, metric or imperial), and your max heart rate for the zone colors.

How to use:
1. Set the pack weight (swipe or turn the bezel or crown); the green arrow button (or the side button) goes on
2. Set a distance goal or keep "No goal", go on the same way
3. Choose the terrain: a tap selects, the green arrow button goes on
4. Press the side button or hold the upper half of the screen to begin the recording
5. Stop the same way you started; choose Continue, Save or Discard

Settings and History: the "⋯" at the bottom of the first screen.

Works on the watch alone: your rucks stay on this watch. A small companion app for the phone comes with it. It writes each saved ruck to Health Connect on your phone; there the ruck appears as a hiking workout. It is optional: the watch app works on its own, and neither app uses an internet connection. Your heart rate curve goes to Health Connect too. No ads, no subscription, no account.
