What color is this? Point your camera at a wall, a sweater, a flower or a car and Color Name Finder tells you its name right away, with the HEX, RGB and HSL codes next to it. No account, no upload, no internet needed.
LIVE CAMERA
Aim the ring at anything around you and watch the name update as you move. Freeze the frame to hold a color while you copy or save it. Flash on for dark corners.
PICK FROM A PHOTO
Open any picture and drag your finger across it. A magnifier shows the exact pixel under your touch, and the app lists the main colors of the whole photo in one tap.
EXPLORE AND SEARCH
Move through the full palette and see the name change as you go, or type a HEX, RGB or HSL code. Search by name across 32,000+ named colors from the CSS keywords, the xkcd Color Survey and the Color Names list. Each color page shows tints and shades, similar names and how white or black text reads on it.
HONEST MATCHES
Every result shows the closest common name and how close it really is, side by side with the reference swatch, plus the most precise name from the full list. Names are matched in the OKLab color space, the same engine as colornamefinder.org, so a HEX code gets the same name in the app and on the site.
COPY AND SHARE
One tap copies HEX, RGB, HSL or OKLCH. Share a color with its name, or export a whole collection as a plain list, CSS variables or JSON.
MADE FOR PHONES AND TABLETS
Two-column layouts on tablets and in landscape, resizable windows and foldables included.
COLOR NAME FINDER PRO
Finding and naming colors is free. Pro adds saving: keep the colors you find, mark favorites, group them into collections for a room, a brand or a project, and export them. Pro is a monthly or yearly auto-renewing subscription with a 7-day free trial; the price is shown in the app before you subscribe. Payment is charged to your Google Play account at confirmation of purchase. The subscription renews automatically unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel it in Google Play under Subscriptions.
A phone camera is not a colorimeter: light, white balance and screen settings change what it sees. For paint or fabric, compare with a physical sample.
