Before version 3, I liked bunq for its simplicity both in terms of onboarding and usage. But now it feels more like a wework-style cult: "it's not just banking, it's all about us". Features either don't exist anymore, don't work anymore or simply cannot be found because we now have your Instagram feed very central, but essential features are hidden ten clicks away.

Predatory app with false advertisement as their choice of "attack". Had the physical card ordered. Once it arrived, tried to add it. Couldnt do it with the free version. Kept asking to upgrade to "bunq core" for 3.99. Read the terms, fair enough, free version doesnt include a physical card, only one digital. Tried adding digital card, same deal, uograde to bunq core, no way around it. If I cant even try it at my own pace for free, not gonna even consider paying.

Hey, Henry! Thanks for your feedback. The Free plan includes 1 digital card, usable instantly with Apple or Google Pay. Physical cards and additional digital cards require bunq Core. If you have additional cards, reach out at support@bunq.com 📩 and we'll help you switch to bunq Free.

DON'T OPEN THE ACCOUNT Everything works fine until the app decides to remove biometrics. So you need to enter a security code you haven't used in years. You follow all the steps to access your account only for their AI bot to not recognize your IDs. I've been locked out for 5 days. Customer service is also AI. Got 2k stuck in this account no way to get them out.
