About this app

CableCheck Pro helps you find out which of your USB charging cables performs best — and which ones may be worn out or low quality.

It does this scientifically. The app cannot look inside a cable or measure its copper directly (no Android app can). Instead, it reads your phone's charging behaviour through the Android BatteryManager API and infers cable quality from repeated, controlled measurements.

HOW IT WORKS
Test each cable one at a time, keeping conditions the same — same charger, same outlet, similar battery level. The app records the charging current, voltage, power and temperature once per second, then analyses the results.

WHAT YOU GET
• Live charging dashboard: current (mA), voltage (V), power (W) and battery temperature, updated every second
• Guided cable test with a quick 15-second option or longer runs for more reliable results
• A health score out of 100 for each cable, with a clear Excellent / Good / Acceptable / Problematic rating
• Current stability analysis that flags sudden drops, which can point to a loose connector or a damaged cable
• Side-by-side ranking of all your cables, best to worst
• History of every test, saved on your device, so you can spot a cable degrading over time
• PDF report you can export and share
• Standalone live charging monitor

WHAT THE NUMBERS MEAN
A good cable delivers high, steady current and stable voltage with little temperature rise. A weak or damaged cable usually shows lower current, large fluctuations or sudden drops. CableCheck Pro turns these patterns into an easy-to-read score and report.

PRIVACY
All tests are stored locally on your device. The app does not require an internet connection and does not collect personal data.

IMPORTANT
Readings depend on your device's hardware. Some phones do not expose a charging-current sensor, and reported values can vary between devices. Results are an estimate of charging performance, not a laboratory measurement of the cable itself.
Compare your USB charging cables and find which one charges best and steadiest.
