Weather Navigation: Road Radar

Weather Navigation is a car weather radar app for Android Auto and Google Built-In (Android Automotive) with weather routing: see rain, storms and road conditions on your route before you drive into them.

Install on your phone, connect to Android Auto, and the weather radar, road weather and severe weather alerts show up on your car screen. In cars with Google Built-In (Volvo, Toyota, Ford, Chevrolet and more) the app runs directly on the car system.

WEATHER ON YOUR ROUTE
• Rain radar on the road ahead: see where it rains and when it reaches your route.
• Weather routing: using real-time radar and forecasts, the app can adjust the route around heavy rain, snow or flooding.
• Storm tracker: storm cells with direction and speed on the map (US). Tap a storm cell to see details.
• Severe weather alerts for drivers: fog, wind, snow, hail, blizzard, dust, tornado, thunderstorm, lightning, flood, low temperature and more (Australia, Brazil, Canada, Europe, India, Mexico, South Africa, South Korea, US).
• Wildfires on the map (Canada, US). Tap a wildfire to see details.

ROAD WEATHER AND ROAD CONDITIONS
• Color coded road conditions on the map (green: safe, yellow: warning, red: danger) or road temperature colors (Australia, Canada, Europe, Japan, New Zealand, US).
• Road condition icons: moist, wet, slush, snow, ice (Australia, Canada, Europe, Japan, New Zealand, US).
• Road conditions come from our own road weather API; in the US Midwest the app also uses official state DOT road reports.
• Hourly weather forecast: tap any city on the map or your current location.

WEATHER RADAR LAYERS
• Precipitation radar with storm cells, temperature radar, wind radar, tropical storm radar, wildfires and a fully customizable custom radar.
• Weather widgets built into Android Auto and Google Built-In (Android Automotive).
• Weather data from our own forecast engine built on the NOAA GFS and ECMWF models, supplemented by Foreca.
• Offline maps to download (US, Alaska, Canada, England, France, Germany, Poland), based on OpenStreetMap.

ANDROID AUTO AND GOOGLE BUILT-IN
• Android Auto: weather radar and alerts from your phone on the car display.
• Google Built-In (Android Automotive): the app installed in the car, no phone needed.
• Weather widgets and alerts on the car screen while you drive, so you do not have to look at your phone.
