Telik: Remote for Apple TV

Telik is a remote for Apple TV on your Android phone. Swipe on the touchpad to move around, type with your phone's keyboard and turn the TV up or down with your phone's volume buttons.
The app connects over your home Wi-Fi, so your phone doesn't need an IR blaster. Keep it handy for when the Apple TV remote slips between the sofa cushions or its battery runs out.

Touchpad
Swipe to move between items and tap to select. The highlighted item tilts slightly as your finger moves, so you always see what's selected.

Buttons
• Play/Pause, Back and TV sit at the bottom, within reach of your thumb. Hold Back to go to the Home Screen; double-tap TV to see open apps.
• Power: tap to wake the TV or open Control Center, press and hold to turn the TV off.
• Mute turns the TV sound off and back on.
• While a video plays, skip back or forward 10 seconds, if the app on the TV allows it.

Volume buttons
Press the buttons on the side of your phone to turn the TV up or down, as you would on a regular remote control. The TV shows its own volume indicator.

Keyboard
When a text field is selected on the TV, your phone's keyboard opens. Type searches, names and email addresses on the phone instead of picking letters one by one on the TV screen.

Quick Settings and lock screen
Add Telik to Quick Settings. Swipe down, tap Telik and the remote opens, even on the lock screen. Pairing a new TV or forgetting one works only on an unlocked phone.

More than one TV
Pair each TV once, then switch between them: tap the TV name at the top of the remote and pick another one from the list.

Works with
Apple TV 4K with the latest version of tvOS, on the same Wi-Fi network as your phone. Android 8.0 or later. Older models and older versions of tvOS have not been tested.

Good to know
• The first time you connect, the TV shows a 4-digit code. Type it in Telik right away: the TV waits only about half a minute.
• Volume and Mute work when your Apple TV controls the volume of your TV or receiver over HDMI-CEC.

Privacy
No ads, no in-app purchases and no account. Telik collects no data and has no analytics. It connects only to your TV on your home network, nothing is sent to us, and pairing keys are stored encrypted on your phone.

About tvOS updates
Telik talks to the TV over your local network, and Apple can change how that works in any tvOS update. If an update breaks a feature, we will try to fix it in a new version of Telik; until then, that feature may not work.
